Dad, Harold "Ike" Charles Blanchard Sr. Born 24 Sept 1914, Kansas City, Kansas. Died 12 Sept 1997 at Phoenix, Arizona. I, Was living in Honolulu, Hawaii...Received a phone call, from the Social Service's office in Phoenix, that my dad was hospitalized, with "Dementia". They advised me not to come to Phoenix, there was not anything I could do, that it was irreversible. Was on the plane the next day, got him out of the care center, and cared for him for the next year. Mom and Dad. Mom, born 30 Aug 1916, Powersville, Missouri. Died 1 Aug 1981, Phoenix, Arizona. Dad, born 24 Sep 1914, Kansas City, Kansas. Died 12 Sept 1997, Phoenix, Arizona. Married, 12 May 1936 at Olathe, Kansas... On the left, Grandfather, Willard Emmet Farnsworth, Born 8 May 1873 Warsaw, Iowa. Died, 1944 Powersville, Missouri. Greatgrandfather, Greenbury Heddington Farnsworth, Born 19 Jan 1846, Holliday Cove, West Virginia. Died 9 May 1929. Attended Grandfather's funeral, of course they kept him in the house until the day of the funeral. Can't tell you how scarred I was! The two boy's are my mother's older brother's, Dale and Lewis. Picture taken before 1916...Greatgrandfather Greenbury in 1863 at the age of 17 enlisted at Coryton, Iowa in Company M 3rd Cavalry of Iowa and served until the end of the civil war. Lester Dale Farnsworth, Born 19 May 1908 Sewal, Iowa. Died 15 Dec 1959 at Unionville, Missouri. Ella Merle Farnsworth, Born 10 May 1905, Powersville, Missouri. Lewis Emmet Farnsworth, Born 6 June 1901 Powersville, Missouri. Mom, Marjorie Clara (Farnsworth) Blanchard Grandma Nillie Farnsworth's, House in Powersville, Missouri, center of the State, 3 mile's south of the Iowa border. When I stayed with her, had freedom to "Roam", knew everbody in town. From the store, post office even the preacher. Addie Maye (Wallace) Wood. Sister, Carrie Sylvia (Wallace) Wood. Born, 22 May 1885 at Dawson, Missouri... My GrandMother, Carrie Sylvia (Wallace) Wood. Born, 18 Nov 1890 at Dawson, Missouri. Died, 19 Oct 1980 at Phoenix, Arizona. Charles Dean Wood. Brother grandma Carrie Sylvia (Wallace) Wood. Born Dawson, Missouri 17 Aug 1893. Married to Mabel Smith, liked to visit with uncle Dean, they had a great "Parrot" with a large vocabulary. Harold Wallace "Woody" Wood, brother of my GrandMother. Born 17 Feb 1908 Kansas City, Kansas. Died 1992 Phoenix, Arizona. I lived with and cared for uncle Woody the last six month's of his life. Aunt Kate, on the right, wife of uncle "Woody". He never got over losing her, she was the love of his life. That is Mom on the left. Center great uncle, Harold "Woody". On the left, his niece, Olga. On the right, his nephew, my Dad, Harold "Ike". That is uncle Woody, bottom row center, and Dad is second from the left top row. They were both musician's until they died... That is Dad on the Bass and "woody" to his left on the drums(back row). Dad was one hell of bass player, that is what he did in the Air Force, Special Service's..."Woody", just plain loved music, he could be at the "Keyboard" hours on end... The eldest of the children of James and Marian Wallace. She was born 21 May 1867 in Nodaway, County, Missouri. Died of pneumonia 24th of Jan 1944. I feel so blessed to have known and loved her. The same woman who brought up my great uncle's and aunt's. My dad was brought up by her. But I did cause her some grief, like the time I got my head stuck in the Potty, and she had to call the fire department to get me lose. I still have the broach she is wearing in this picture and locks of her hair. Joseph "Joe" Dale Wallace. Brother, Lillie May (Wallace) Wood. Born 18 Aug 1873 Nodaway, County, Missouri. Died 25 Mar 1955. Buried at the National Cemetary, Fayettiville, Arkansas. Picture scanned from a postcard dated 31 Dec 1908, mailed from Hotsprings, Arkansas. His wife, Marie wrote on the back, We leave here for Mexico. Afraid the weather would be to cold for the children up there in Kansas City. Minnie Lea Wallace, Sister of Lillie May (Wallace) Wood. Born, 21 Mar 1879 at Nodaway, County, Missouri. Died 19 Sept 1901. Buried Liberty grave yard, near Turley, Missouri. Grover Cleveland Wallace, Brother to Lillie May (Wallace) Wood. Born 18 July 1888. Lived in Rison, Arkansas. |

Lucky, to have box's of old photo's of my family!! Mom, Marjorie Clara (Farnsworth) Blanchard. Born 30 Aug 1916, Powersville, Missouri. Died 1 Aug 1981, Phoenix, Arizona. She had Cancer and went through many operation's. I lived with her and cared for her the last month's of her life. She did not want to die in a hospital, she died at home, held her hand and talked to her until the end... Christmas 1946, Oklahoma, City, Oklahoma. Picture taken in living room of our home. Yep, you guessed it, that's me and mom. Marjorie Clara (Farnsworth) Blanchard. In Powersville, Missouri, Mom's hometown...Looks like it might have been a little cold that day...

Lived with my Grandmother and step Granddad in Indepenence, Missouri. GrandMother, Carrie and StepGrandDad, Bruce "Jim" Walters. Picture taken at Swope park, Kansas City, Missouri. 1922... Grandmother, Nillie Ann (Rowan) Farnsworth, Born Feb 1878 Putnam County, Missouri...Died 17 Dec 1954. Married, Willard Emmet Farnsworth 23 November 1898 at Warsaw, Wayne, County, Iowa. In 1944 We had a great adventure when we took a train to New York City!!

They had Eleven children. Four died as infant"s On the Left is my GreatGrandMother, Lillie May (Wallace) Wood, Born May 1867 at Nodaway, County, Missouri. Died 24 Jan 1944, Kansas City, Kansas. On the right is her sister, Minnie Wallace, Born Mar, 1879. Died Sep 1901. I was the only one with Lillie May when she died, lived with her while my dad was away in the Air Force... My GreatGreatGrandMother, Marian Adeline (Walker) Wallace, Born 4 April 1850 in Buchanan, County, Missouri. Died 6 Sept 1932 of Malaria fever. Buired, Varnell grave yard, Rison, Arkansas. Married James Franklin Wallace 8 April 1866. My GreatGreatGrandFather was born 31 Mar 1845. at Anderson, County, East Tennessee. In Sept 1863 at the age of 18, he enlisted in the United States service in Company "F" 12th Missouri cavalry. Remained on duty until the end of the Civil War. He then returned to Nodaway, County, Missouri. He Died 5 Sept 1899, was buried in the Liberty Church grave yard near Turley, Missouri. They had Nine children. GreatGreatGrandMother, Marian Adeline (Walker) Wallace. The only name I ever heard her referred to by, the members of the Wood family was..."Ma Wallace" |

Olive "Dollie" Leona Wallace, sister of Lillie May (Wallace) Wood. Born 9 Aug 1876 in Nodaway, County, Mo. Died 28 Dec 1918. William "Billie" Thomas Wallace, brother of My GreatGrandMother Lillie May (Wallace) Wood. He was born 7 Sept 1880 in Nodaway, County, Missouri. That's GreatGrandMother, Lillie May (Wallace) Wood, GrandMother, Carrie Sylvia (Wallace) Wood, Holding me, GrandMother, Nillie Ann (Rowan) Farnsworth. That is my StepGrandDad Jim Walters on the right, next to him is Ernest Estes, lived the next farm up from our farm, at Stockton, Missouri. Those are what they called SpoonBillCatFish. They would Fish for them at Oceola, Missouri, which was North of our farm. They could be over a hundred pounds.
My Mother, Marjorie Clara Farnsworth and her Mother in law, Carrie Sylvia (Wallace) Wood are buried in a common grave. At the Resthaven cemetary, Glendale, Arizona, under a tree. Across the road is buried my GrandMother's sister, Helen Maxine (Wallace) Wood. My Great uncle Harold "Woody" Wallace Wood is buried in the Veterans Cemetary, Phoenix, Arizona. As is my father Harold "Ike".
